Frequently Asked Questions
and other fun stuff.

Q: What type of prints do you make?
A: We proudly make high-quality, original art prints, including hand-pulled screenprints in open and limited editions and digital art prints.

Q: What is a "hand-pulled" screenprint?
A: Screenprinting is a printmaking technique that involves pushing ink through a stencil created on a mesh screen, one color at a time. The stencil is formed by blocking out areas on the screen using a light-sensitive emulsion. Each color is applied to the print separately, with the ink being pressed through the stencil using a squeegee. This process is repeated for each color in the design until the final image emerges.
The term "hand-pulled" refers to the fact that each print is individually made by hand, with the artist physically pulling the squeegee to apply the ink. This creates a unique and handmade quality to each print, as slight variations and charming imperfections show the artist's hand at work.

Q: What type of paper are you using?
A: We use acid-free, archival-grade papers. This ensures that your prints will last without fading or yellowing and that the colors remain vibrant and true to the original image.

Q: Where are your screenprints produced?
A: All Sugar Pop Press works are created in our cozy home studio in Morgantown, WV.

Q: How are your screenprints shipped?
A: We take great care in packaging and shipping our screenprints to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Prints in sizes up to 11x14 inches will ship flat, while larger prints will ship rolled. All orders are tracked and insured for your peace of mind.
