Leslie Norris is a Morgantown printmaker working out of her home studio, Sugar Pop Press. Leslie spent the majority of her childhood in Hancock County, playing in the woods and backstreets of Newell, a little pottery town in the tiptop of West Virginia. While time and industry have forgotten much of what that community has to offer, the environment and the people of that small town have left a lasting impression on Leslie and the work that she creates.
Leslie attended West Virginia University and obtained her B.F.A. with a concentration in Printmaking. She has hosted several live print demonstrations where she invites the public to participate in creating their own screenprint. Leslie is also an active member of her local art community and can often be found at Arts Walk and other events. She has participated in group exhibitions all over the country from Portland, Oregon, Knoxville, Tennessee and Austin, Texas all the way back home to Morgantown, West Virginia.
